EVERGY SOLUTIONS AND HELP FROM THE MAINE STATE HOUSING AUTHORITY

MAINE POWER RELIABILITY PROGRAM
CMP’s bulk power transmission system was put into service in 1971. Since then population growth and the doubling of electric power demand have raised concerns about the system’s continued reliability in the future. In response to this growth, CMP is working with ISO New England to identify the system’s critical needs. CMP has developed the Maine Power Reliability Program to study the future needs of Maine’s power transmission system and ensure that they can continue to reliably deliver electricity to meet the needs of the customers. Pownal is a town identified for possible upgrades or additions. The Town will be informed as information is available and specific needs are identified.
