HOUSING COMMITTEE
This committee was established in December of 2006 and consists of not less than 3 members appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The Housing Committee shall (1) Inventory and examine town-owned properties to determine those that are best suited for domestic residential housing, (2) Examine traffic patters, current housing density, soil suitability, and any other factors deemed relevant for identifying areas in town where changes in zoning regulations could improve housing availability and affordability without compromising the Comprehensive Plan, (3) Cooperate with other organizations to try to improve housing availability and affordability in Pownal.
