ORDINANCE REVIEW COMMITTEE

The Ordinance Review committee consists of not less than 3 and not more than 7 members appointed by the Pownal Board of Selectmen. This committee will (1)review all existing ordinances and make recommendations for any changes, updates, or clarifications, (2) shall draft Town Ordinances and amendments to ordinances relating to zoning, subdivisions, land use, and other ordinances, for the review and consideration of the Selectmen, (3) shall offer advice, assistance and make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen, Town Employees or Town Committees when asked to look at changes in existing ordinances; or to create a new ordinance.
