Absentee Ballots Available

Absentee ballots are now available for the June 14, 2022 State Primary, Municipal Officers and the RSU5 Budget Validation elections.  If you wish to vote absentee you may do so in person at Mallett Hall during regular town office hours.  Or you may request a ballot by telephone, in person or using the state's electronic ballot website:  Electronic Absentee Ballot Request.  Please note if you are requesting by telephone we need to speak with each voter individually.  

Residents enrolled in a party will vote to choose candidates to be on the ballot for the November election.  If you wish to enroll in a party or change your party affiliation, please complete and submit a new voter registration card to the town office by end of business day May 24, 2022.  After this date you will not be able to enroll in or change parties for this election.

To return your ballots, you can deliver in person to the Town Clerk during regular town office hours, place it in the ballot drop box at Mallett Hall or mail back to the town office at 429 Hallowell Road, Pownal.  We suggest if mailing to do so by June 6, 2022 to ensure delivery in time.

If you wish to vote in person, polls will be open from 8 am to 8 pm on June 14, 2022 at Mallett Hall.
