Future Facilities Committee Hosted Building Info Sessions

The Future Facilities Committee has hosted several informational meetings for residents to learn about the proposed new Fire Safety/Public Works Building. These sessions were an opportunity to learn more about the project, ask questions, and understand how it could impact the community.  If you were unable to make any of these informational sessions you can watch the June 16th presentation below.

Question: Does the first sentence of Article 39 commit us to build?
Answer: The last sentence of the article reads: if the town does not receive CDS funds, the bonds will not be issued until such a time as a combination of funds committed (including the bonding) equals $7.125 million.
While the first sentence of the article does approve the project, the project does not proceed until we receive CDS funds.
